Applicants for any of five licenses offered by the Utah Board of Nursing have to pass the national exam. Some will also require a master’s degree. Utah is a member of the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact, making theirs a multistate license. Nurses can practice in-person, by phone or internet with patients in any eNLC state. Compact states have adopted 11 uniform licensing requirements. ENLC states also require background checks.
